The Moravice natural park is the largest (14,250 hectares) and most precious protected region in the Opava Region. There are 7 different vegetation species, e.g. flood plain plants, oakhornbeam forests, forest rubbles, blossoming beech trees, acidophilic forests, birch forests and peat birch vegetation. The source of the river Moravice is in the mountains called the Jeseníky. The river flows in between sand and slate rocks from the Primary Era. The view from nearby uplands forms a lasting impression.
