The Court buildings

The building of the Racibórz Regional Court, designed by a renowned architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel, is one of the most interesting examples of German Classicism in Upper Silesia. The influence of Roman, Greek and Renaissance buildings is visible. Given for use in 1826 (at the time a Higher Country Court for the Silesia Province was there) has until today served as a court building. In 1892 a new, much larger building of a country court was erected. Today it hause a local reformatory.
