Dominican Convent with the Church of St. WenceslasDominican Convent with the Church of St. Wenceslas The Dominican Convent with the Church of St. Wenceslas in Pekařska Street, was founded by the Opava duke, Nicholas I, in 1291. To the south the convent borders the Chapel of St. Dominic, with frescos dating back to 1336. To the north, there is a Chapel of St. Cross, known also as the Moravian Chapel. Between the years of 1732 and 1735, the church and the convent gained its baroque look. Today, there are many cultural events held there.
