The church was consecrated in 1334 as a temple for the Dominican order. Today it’s the main exhibition building of the Racibórz Museum. The leading one is the tomb of the dukes of Racibórz, nuns and benefactors of the convent, that is situated in the former chancel. Tourists are allowed to take a look at the interior of underground tombs built in the Middle Ages. There is also a unique exhibition entitled W krainie Ozyrysa (In the Osiris land), where one can see an Egyptian mummy of the 22nd dynasty (800 B.C.), two original sarcophagi and an ornamented cartonage.
