Kružberk dam

The biggest dam in the Opava Region is Kružberk, on the river Moravice. The reservoir is 10.5 km long up to the banks by the settlement of Kružberk. The dam covers 286 hectares and is 31 meters deep in the deepest part. It can provide 35 million m3 of water a second in its full state. Its dam wall is 285 meters long and 36.5 meters high. The widest part of the road on the dam is 5 meters wide. It is a drinking water reservoir, thus swimming or fishing is strictly forbidden.
